Hayden Panettiere in a purple bikini reminds us the Nashville finale is coming

These are some photos of Hayden Panettiere rocking a purple bikini in Miami over the Easter holiday. She was seen on the beach on Easter Sunday, which makes me remember those days when I was carefree and single and didn’t really do much for Easter. It’s one of those holidays when you call your family but don’t feel compelled to get together with them if you’re a few hours away, not unless you have nephews and nieces or little brothers and sister. (At least not in my family, we’re not really church-going.)

The last we heard about Hayden she was engaged to her on-again boyfriend, boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko. US Weekly had the news so you can bet that it was semi-official, but she’s still not wearing a nice rock here, not at the beach. I imagine the engagement ring rollout photos will be any day now, especially since the finale of Nashville Season one is just around the corner, it’s Tuesday! I’ve grown really fond of that show and I’m excited to see how they wrap it up. It did drag a little toward the middle of the season, but the last couple of episodes have been excellent.

As I’ve mentioned, Nashville has also made me warm to Hayden quite a bit. She can act, and she’s made her character seem both insufferable and entitled yet somewhat likable. Hayden has made us care about Juliette Barnes as a person, and that’s an accomplishment. Of course she’s not as excellent an actress as Connie Britton, but that’s not a fair comparison. Along with having great characters, Nashville has some solid plotlines and catchy music (and I’m not even a country fan).

So here’s Hayden looking super fit (McFit) and like she’s on top of the world and she probably is. I also hope she’s elated because she heard the news that Nashville has been renewed. There’s been no official word yet, but it probably will be.

After I wrote this little story I found photos of her engagement ring via The Daily Mail. (They credit this photo to Instagram, but I couldn’t find Hayden’s Instagram and another photo they credit there is from her Twitter. So she may have tweeted and deleted it.) This is the same ring she’s wearing on her right hand in these pics. It’s a non-traditional engagement ring and is very pretty, with rows of diamonds instead of a honking one in the middle. Is it a real engagement ring though or just a “promise ring”?
